Obituary

William F. "Bill" McBride

October 27, 1947 - December 30, 2016

Bill passed away at age 69, born in Gaylord Michigan the youngest of three children to Reginald McBride and Marjorie Fesler. Bill retired as former owner/ distributor of Interstate Battery of Flint, Michigan for 28 years. His full-time residence since 2000 was Nokomis, Florida. Bill’s favorite hobbies were playing cards, traveling to casinos, golf and being social with his golf companions. He retired as “The Commissioner of the Calusa Lakes G.C. Breakfast Club” in December of 2014. Bill cherished the game of golf so much; he wed his spouse Vicki on the 10th hole at Atlas Valley Country Club located in Grand Blanc Michigan in 1994. Included in Bills many golf achievements were obtaining the title “Calusa Lakes G. C. Couples Club Champion” with his wife in 2005.

All who knew Bill will remember his contagious laugh which could be heard across the room, and his kind optimistic outlook on life.

Bill wanted you to remember: “He will see you at the Majestic 19th Hole.”

Survivors are his wife Vicki: children Andrew McBride, Jennifer Shockley, and Matthew McBride. He is also survived by 5 grandsons: Joshua, Jesse, Declan, Brendan and Colin.
